Is anyone else finding that their aircon struggles to get cold air during the hot weather? :cool:

I took mine in to get it checked back in March's hot spell and ended up with a new compressor being fitted but to be honest in the recent hot weather it doesn't seem much better! I've had cars with aircon for years know and know that when it's working properly it can drop the temp pretty quickly but my DS3 struggles. Before anyone asks I do have all the windows closed (kids find it really annoying ) and A/C on in Auto.

i dont have auto aircon but if im sitting still i find it stuggles a litte. Moving along it works nicely

I've just been out with 28° showing on the outside temperature gauge after the car had been sitting in the sun for four hours. Within less than ¼ mile the temperature was down to a comfortable level. That's with the aircon on auto, set at 20 & with the fan running at about ¾ of full speed.

I'd say the aircon on the DS is as good as, if not better than, it was on the PoS Alfa it replaced - certainly much better at maintaining a constant temperature.

My Aircon seems a bit pants tbh, even on 17 it doesn't seem as icy cold as it should! Might take it for a regassing and if that doesnt solve it I'll just have to steal some gel ice packs from work...

I suppose it depends on how you look at it... But for me, that means it's awesome.

Had mine set on auto @ 18'c today. Started it up and within about 300 yards (and waiting for a gate to open) it was blasting lovely cold air at me

Think you should get it looked at maybe?

Don't forget to turn the air re-circulation button on it will get cold quicker and stay cold even in traffic...My car sat in the sun all day from 7 o'clock till 6 o'clock set it at 18 on auto turn on the recirc and about 10 mins in was like sitting in a fridge.....
