Videos quite helpful. Being totally ignorant in these things, do they do cameras with a wireless connection to the rear camera?

That would be good if they did, but I would assume they would be quite chunky to house the wireless stuff?

Alternatively you can buy 2 of the normal cameras and have one in the front and one in the rear - would work even better if the DS3's had rear 12v sockets in the back!

That looks very good, but quite pricey
If theres not a cheaper version, then running a wire round the car is only solution :-(

me personaly i can handle running a cable under the trim for the back camera especialy with the price difference

Thanks Steve. Yep- will have a look at that... a bit cheaper

I am looking at one that does both a reverse and a forward camera on the same front windscreen pedestal £50
One lens faces forward- the other backwards
Not sure how the back facing one would work- would be an assist parking, would be for being hit from behind
If it only zooms to the rear window, wonder if it will be any good.
But might prefer that to running cables

Depending on what you looking for
if you dont want the hastle of running cables for 2nd camers so opting for just 1 single front camera then this could be the one for you

But i want a rear cam too so im waiting for this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171220184888 to be delivered but i could just use 1 camera if i decided i didnt want to run cables

some ppl opt for the more expensive ones around £150 - £200+
so each to thier own

i was looking at that one amongst other dual cameras http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/Cameras-Ph...sh+cams&_rdc=1 but camera vision would get obscured when i had passengers in the back so thats another reason why i opted for the cable running

Not alot of cameras state what shock they can take. I.e. will they actually work in an impact?
The GoPro is poven to take the hits (search youtube for exmaples - 30,000ft fall), Some of the cameras shown on ebay look flimsy in comparison...
