Also with the single dual units what is the picture going to be of - the back seat mainly! - also you can have it tucked up behind the rearview mirror - the ideal place for it - because all it would record is the mirror. personally I think the separate camera is the best idea, ok so it takes 10 mins to run the cables, so what, you'll end up with a better end result IMO.BumbleBee OneTwenteeee!

Wish I had the dual camera yesterday!
Forced over by a tailgating police car who then continued on to tailgate and undertake traffic in a 50mph zone (in Heavily congested traffic) on the m25. No lights or sirens... I guess this is now an acceptable standard of driving on the uk roads?

Just a point on the legality of footage, anybody can film anything and anyone as long as its in a public place. Not being allowed to film kids playing football for example is rubbish, the only people who need to abide by RIPA (Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000) are those working on Official (Govt/Mil/Police etc) business. Its what the footage is used for that is more important, if collected and held by a company then other legislation comes into effect (Data protection for instance).

Yes but it could be removed from you for a number of legal reasons. Im not currently involved in UK surveillance therefore my kit is limited to some covert recording stuff and a vehicle tracker. I use a Mobius at work http://mobius-actioncam.com/ to record certain tasks.

I've been reading a bit on DashCam Talk, seems to have quite a lot of reviews and things to look for with a wide selection of cams available on eBay etc.
