Yes- mine didnt come with a Micro TF card- so bought one with SD adapter for £5
Love the fact it turns itself on, and just records your whole journey
When novelty wears off, just let it do its thing for months
    Nice peace of mind

Latest Software update on my GroPro Hero2 has well and truly buggered it :-( Never had an issue with the camera until now with it freezing, green screen of death on some videos and it resetting it's self... Tried the suggestions on the GoPro website but nothing yet... Does anyone know if the SanDisk SD cards have a short lift span? might try a new one.

Besides the F70 or i1000 cameras does anyone know of a good twin camera system?
The mivue-388 looks good but it's only a single camera

Whilst i got mine for half price, the playback is now muted (Not my laptop) the GPS still refuses to work, the playback on the tempermental X2 player is rubbish, cant pick which recording you wanna watch, takes 30 seconds to load every time. Iits grim unless you like silent movies, and dont want to fast forward or anything. Was worth a try. LOL

Looks good tho, and like the front/back playback aspect. Will but British next time methinks

Hopefully it will be pretty decent for the price, I'll be using it to record some footage on the 4 points trip. I'll let you know how I get on with it.
Card arrived yesterday and camera arrived today. Hopefully going to give it a go at the weekend so will let you know.

A red Clio almost caused a 4 car pileup including a head on crash on my drive home, the GoPro failed to see the reg plate due to its low light capabilities... Only camera that appears to be better than the Gopro for "night vision" is the Road Hawk HD... Does anyone have another suggestion?

Unfortunately you get what you pay for, I've heard the Road Hawk is very good but it's also £100-300 (depending on model).

I'm setting up my cheap (under £50) camera today and will be going for a decent length drive. I've read it's fairly good at night for the price but I guess I shall see.

Hooray, my audio part of the car cam has started working again, although crackly on playback. Assume it needs a suppressor
Theres one very similar in the CSMA mag, and National newspapaers, being sold for £130 by Snooper, and not even reverse camera either
Maybe will persevere with the China syndrome on my model :lemon:

The cable provided with my camera was 3M but this is a bit short for running it where I wanted. I ordered a 5M cable from Amazon and used that instead.

The cable is basically out of sight now so I'm happy with the result. For those interested, I ran it from the cigarette lighter to the floor on the driver side, round the back of the armrest (tucked under where possible), along the floor between the passenger seat and the middle. Then tucked it under the centre section all the way into the footwell, through the dash and up the passenger A-pillar, along the sun visor to the camera positioned just to the left of the rear view mirror.

If you do this yourself, it's much easier to run the cable in reverse because you then can drop the cable down the gap into the dash. The A-pillar is easy to get off but the locating pin near the base is annoying to fit back in place. I ran the cable along the same clips as the alarm sensor (I assume) wires.

                        Here's a few pics:

I've not tried it at night yet but daytime I was pretty impressed. I'll see if I can upload some to Youtube later so you can see.

I'm interested to know how you guys are getting on with these a few months down the line.

I was just having a look at one of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/ABEO-HDVR-18...&keywords=ABEO
It clips onto the rear-view mirror so you don't have to worry about removing it and putting it back up every time you get into your car. It's a little pricey but for the convenience of not having to set it up every time you get into your car it seems good.

I'm just worried that with the standard models it will get to the point where I just don't bother using them.
Also how easy is it to wire this into the car? I kind of need the 12v socket to charge my phone when I'm using it as a sat-nav (my trim level doesn't come with the USB socket).

Here's a video review of a similar model from the same manufacturer:

Mine has been fine, gets decent quality footage for the price. It's very quick to set up / put away because I leave the power cable and suction mount in place at all times and keep the camera in the armrest when not in use.

Have a look at my post above for where I routed the power cable, took about 10-15 mins to set up in my new DS3. I use this to power the camera and charge my phone.
