I based my buying decision on the review over at Techmoan.
I'd second that, I only heard of this camera from Techmoan's channel. The size of the camera did still surprise me even after seeing the reviews, it's only just larger than a 1/4 of my hand! (Ignoring the mount)

    • My dashcam has finally arrived! I've fitted it and I'm very very impressed with the results!

Here's the Mobius next to my Oyster Card so you can get an idea of its size:

Here's the extension ribbon cable that removes the lens from the device:

And here's what the unit looks like with the cable fitted:

Same as you guys did previously I ran the USB cable down the A-pillar, down through the fusebox and along the carpet above the passenger footwell.

I attached the bulk of the unit to the roof of the car with some velcro and the lens to the rear-view mirror for the moment with blu-tack and reinforced tape. I covered the reinforced tape with black electrical tape to hide the silver colour. I'll eventually swap this for a more permanent solution but I'm yet to find one yet.

Here's what that all looks like:

Only the lens is visible from outside the car, you can't even see the main section of the unit when you're walking past the car. I'll try and get a photo of it from outside the car but at the moment I'm only able to capture the reflection of the sky on the glass with my camera.

This is exactly what I was looking for in a dashcam, a unit that I don't have to put up and take down every time I use the car. Apart from the lens the unit can't be seen from outside the car and recording starts and stops automatically whenever I turn the key. Next steps for my installation are to hard wire this into the car and find a more aesthetically pleasing way of attaching the lens to the mirror.

Here's a short sample of the footage taken with my Mobius:

      • Very nice Mr Speedy. Thought speed bumps on residential streets were meant to slow you down, bloody hell.
Anyway why is the date/time upside down and back to front in the top right hand corner? May be worth turning the lens 180 degrees?

They would slow me down if every single street in the area didn't have them! Most of the ones I went over are actually pretty flat, there are just a few near my house that are like mini mountains!

Anyway the date is upside down at the moment because I set the unit to flip the image 180º thinking I'd install the camera the other way up, I need to change the setting back but the process is a little long winded on a mac so I've left it for now.

I noticed that, the footage makes me look like Lewis Hamilton but only ever hit 30mph once on that drive.

              • Looks like great quality video Richard, may have to swap my front camera for one of those and put my current one in the rear.

Let us know if you find a better solution than taping it to the mirror.

Aah I get you. Anyway did you swap over the battery for a capacitor as recommended for this camera?

Thinking about it you could possibly leave the lens inside the unit and attach it to the roof the other way around. You should get a pretty good view of the road but the mirror might be in the way.

Are you just using sticky Velcro pads to attach to the roof?

Not just yet, the store I bought it from didn't stock them and I'd have to pay customs on the capacitor too. I'm looking to do it pretty soon though, it's a really simple swap.

Just velcro pads at the moment, may have to add a little glue though to the pad attached to the roof, I'm worried it's going to fall.

That's pretty normal for that stretch of road, made worse by the fact that two cars can barely squeeze down the middle yet they still let people park on both sides of the road!

I'm looking forward to seeing the footage I get in the convoy to Trax, should be epic!

Are you going to post links to where you got it all from ? A mini guide would help others who want to do the same as you
