  • Mobile phone bill

Ok guys just a little story i want to share, yesterday i received a letter from Orange, now called EE that my bill will be increasing by 2.7% in line with the Retail Price Index, the letter stating the figure of 2.7% was published by the Office of National Statistics for March.
Me being me decided to check this yes it was 2.7% in FEBRUARY but 2.5% in March so i argued this with EE and they tried telling me that 2.7% was the average for the year, this i was not having so told them i will get the average and call them back.......the operator asked me to hold while she spoke to a colleague, 2 mins later she was back saying that because i was not happy with there billing structure i will get £5 a month taken off my bill for as long as i have a contract with them, i then informed her that i have 2 phones so she did the same for that also, upshot...my total bill is now £10 month cheaper.

    Happy days

cool isnt it? I went to Virgin Media on Sunday to ask how much it would be to take the TV package off, ended up keeping the same tv, increasing my broadband to 50mb and a new faster super hub for £12 a month less. Happy days.

You dont ask you dont get.

I'm jumping on this bandwagon also.

Called to cancel Sky the other day as I was paying £54/mnth and getting hardly any use from it.

I got the line, "As you've been a loyal customer for years and you've never had to call us would you stay with us if we dropped the monthly cost down to £17?".

          £17 it is

i moved from Orange to Giffgaff 40+ quid down to £10 month: 1Gb data, 500 mins, unlimited text. bought a Nexus 5 for 179 and i'm still saving over a 2 year contract. for 12 a month you can also get unlimited data.

Saw this the other day as I am T-Mobile, been with them 14 years and I get bespoke plans now and so I will have that reduced.

They have also reduced some of the plans as in, I had unlimited bandwith and now its 250 gig I think.

Did the same with Virgin, "I am off to Sky" upgraded TV, gave me the Tivo box and upgraded the internet to 20 Meg.

Most people dont ask, so its worth it :0)

Same with BT, brand new Home 4 for free and a fiver less per month.

Each year the wife goes through all our outgoing and renegotiates the lot.
