The other dodge is to put a woman on your policy as named driver. I got a much lower quote for my Barchetta when I added my wife as named driver, despite the fact that (a) she refuses to drive it because it's LHD, and (b) she has a much poorer claims record than me!

Cheers for the info will look into it!!! Erm cant see it being the area, I live on a small n quiet estate in Reddish in Stockport i was really surprised myself tbh. My previous comp Adrian flux have always insured my previous modded cars at great rates, although they had to ring me back with this one which was over £900 because they had never quoted for a DS3 before???!!! Thats the reason why i wouldnt get the 150bhp refuse to pay the rediculous premiums for 30bhp especialy when i have a clean licence

THP owners on here don't seem to have paid over the odds. The quotes you've had seem well out of order. Surprised at Adrian Flux, who are usually very competitive for anything different/sporty.

Direct Line charged me £276 to insure my DSport fully comp (with protected NCD & legal protection) based on 9 years NCD and a £200 excess.

(But then I am a bit of an old git)
