The 110 weasel burner with a map would be quicker than the thp
Only trouble I find is the engine is heavier so cornering and breaking are not as good
As for the 2012 updated ones the juries out because I was having the updated parts fitted to my 2010 car twice both failed in 20 K
I am glad I had a good dealer and what helped a lot is I know a Weeny amount about cars

I have a 2012 DSport+ with the 1.6 eHDI engine and it's been a brilliant (almost) first year, will be June before the 12m are done.... I've also had a remap at SP Tuning so v happy with how it drives now
All that and free road tax and 57-60 average mpg even with the Auto AC on full timesigpic

Trying to balance the debate- I had a June 2011 plate THP- 22,000 miles and no issues whatsover
Driven hard too, with a few "little mods" should we say. Premium fuel only mind, Ultimate.
However, for total piece of mind, recently upgraded to a new 155, which will be moded in due course (Sports cat and exhaust on within 175 mile from new)
Depends what you want it for Toefudge- if youre not gonna mod it, would say get a later 2011 THP onwards, and you should be OK
Not aware of any THP 155s on with major problems (I could be wrong) and thats out of almost 3500 members on here
Latest date THP with significant problems on here, I noticed, was a March 2011 date.
2009 and 2010, some will have major probs. Some wont. Performance modded ones have more probs. Thats the way it seems
Diesels are fine if that what you want. They have their DPF issues too.
My mate got a brand new 115 Airdream and had the pollution light on after 1500 miles- and he drives like a maniac
Ive driven the top spec Diesel, a Racing, and THP150 and THP 155 and I just prefer the THP. My choice
Whatever you do, get one with at least 12 month warranty left, if anything goes amiss
Hope this helps
