They do have to cut out a bit of the sound deadening insulation to bolt the dual controls to the bulkhead, so this might make a slight difference to noise. I'm about to take delivery of my 12th car I've used for driving tuition, and have never found them to be excessively noisy though - I'd be surprised if you could notice a difference.

My sister's old car was a driving school car, 53 reg Peugeot 206 S. It lasted about 10 years before it went kaput but it was a lot more basic than a DS3. I do understand where you're coming from with not being told about it but I wouldn't worry too much about it. Like others have said, it should've been maintained to a high standard anyway.May 2011 - October 2015: White body/black roof/white Bellone THP150

Buying a taxi would have you finding vomit stains in the back lol.
Could be worse. There could of been no service history at all or could of been a cut and shut. At least you know it was well maintained by the instructor - as it was their source of income. It wouldn't bother me (personally) if mine had a driving instructor stamped in my log book, i'd be grateful for having a great little car. I wouldn't worry about the noises. Mine is noisy as hell but my solution is to turn the radio up full blast - and i've just passed 41k miles and had no serious (touchwood)DS3 Evo Edition

Judging by the driving of the taxi driver when I went out last night, my learner car has an easy life!
So none of us driving instructors know what we're talking about.... Sounds like you like saintsteve because you like what you hear!
If it's been a Citroën Driving instructor lease, the hand back criteria is that of almost a brand new car, I'm having to change a wheel because there is a scuff which is 12mm long on the rim edge..... It's gotta have a new screen because of a chip.... The service schedule has to be correct and stamped or else I have to pay something ridiculous like £300!
I think you are worrying over nothing. You should get the remaining warranty or if older than 3 years the dealer should give you a years used warranty..BumbleBee OneTwenteeee!

hi sash, it wasn't a it wasn't a driving instructor lease car it was a driving school car so I didn't really have one owner, just lot and lots of learner drivers that's really sound like it would do the car good,,, anyway ive looked into it the citroen garage I got it from they should have told me its been a driving school car, so im going back there tomorrow its money back or a drifrent car, if not they will be getting a call from trade and standands,,, I let you all know how it gos

Money back or a different car? Sounds like you're setting your sights high... no used car has had a guaranteed easy life. A low mileage car could've been absolutely ragged by someone who isn't a great driver. You just don't know. If the previous owner of your DS3 looked after their car in the same way that my driving instructor looked after his 1-Series, then it should be fine.
