To be honest I'm not too fussed, the only frustrating part is that if I want to get a better value for the car I'd have to pay the balloon payment and sell privately which is a whole load of fuss that I wouldn't want to touch with a bargepole but that's car finance for you!

I'm putting off selling until next year now. I'll probably make the Saturday of FCS16 the last day I have the car and pick up my new one on the Sunday

Yep, I'm looking at the A200 Sport Edition in petrol manual. I haven't decided whether I'm going new or used yet, there aren't too many petrol manuals on the used market with decent specs.

Reliability indexes concentrate on the wrong things, if a car actually does what you bought it to do is secondary it needs to be rated on whether or not the grab handles are satisfying to use, or it has chrome rings round the vents and whether it allows your neighbours to judge your take home for the last year to the nearest thousand just by looking on your drive..

Tbf VAG products have been circling the drain reliability wise for years, it never matters people will blindly buy them on the marketing alone. Stuff like that comes out year after year but somehow never gets traction.

I wouldn't hold out a huge amount of hope for a big price drop 3 series are still worth more than mondeos despite being as common, it's all in the perception rather than the reality sometimes.

Actually the Reliability Index uses only data sourced on actual failure rates of vehicles, it has nothing to do with drivers opinions.

Sorry I was being a bit facetious, I know they do however it didn't come across very well apparently. I thought the rest of the post where I linked to a news story regards Audi being second only to mg/rover in terms of engine failure rates would put that across as well apparently not.

My point was more it doesn't matter how well you do in reliability surveys Vag has done incredibly badly in them for years people will still believe historical stereo types and marketing.

Saw a DS3, 2011, 20K miles, THP Plus (Leather) go for £4800 on ebay 3 days ago

Getting nearer the price when I will get my third one (For a playaround)

Prices are certainly dropping on the sed DS3s :-)
