Had a chance to do this today, it's not a crack or a creased foam section, it's the joins on the unit itself.

    Our aquarium:

I had decided I'd hold it face down, remove the indicator and reverse bulbs and let it drain but the moment it was off the car face down water was cascading out of the unit where the black plastic bit normally hidden by the hatch lid meets the red clear plastic.

So yes after 18 months the water proofing/join has failed...

Quality motor this, gonna have to keep this thread up to date it could run to many more pages at this rate..

Don't suppose anyone has any idea as to what could be causing it to intermittently display the service light? It's not done it to me yet but OH reckons it has been...I took it out for a run and it threw a tyre pressure warning, obviously I checked them and nothing was amiss so reset the system. But the tyre monitors don't seem to be linked to the service warning so no ideas as it seems to be running OK.

Well another year another service, another follow up visit to get something replaced that wasn't in stock. We've changed dealer, they are doing replacing the rear fish bowl under warranty and I've had fun tooling round in a Cactus all day.

Tbf I've made my peace with car it's never going to be 100% right (wheels are rusty again..still has lifting paint on passenger door e.t.c.) but it does the job and hasn't actually properly let us down yet.

Cactus was decent, did everything you could expect from that type of car Tbf. Drove like a softer sprung DS3, same gearbox, clutch, brakes steering. Interior was nice.

Just got the health report on our 10k and 2 year old car...they had to weld the exhaust and when it comes back it will also need rear discs and pads as the current ones are scored.

Tbf this car is not so much a car as a means of test driving the rest of the Citroen range..in the last 24 months we've had a ds4, a C3, a C4, cactus and 2 x C1s..

I wouldn't mind testing a new C3, when you spec it up to the max it looks quite fancy

If the fancy was more than skin deep I'd consider it cos they look pretty cool and the Cactus was an interesting design to look at with its suit case glove box.

At least the DS3 is back, exhaust rewelded, rear discs replaced and fishbowl removed.

I was actually pleasantly surprised by it this morning as the OH had driven back from the dealers. It appears someone who knows how to bleed and set up brakes may have actually done the job, as the half inch of mush at the top of the pedal has gone and the hand brake travel has halved.

Would appear to have been badly set up at the factory (it had 5 miles on it when it arrived) but is now much improved making it a lot easy to drive smoothly.

Well this officially has marching orders 16th October is the last time I'll see it...if anyone sees a purple/white low miles DS3 NL64XRX For sale..Run..like really really fast, Or negotiate a very large discount.

Will say it's final year with us was reasonably trouble free and we found a dealer that wasn't an absolute cretin and we have a new C3 in green on the way.

Tbf the current car set the bar very low..if it gets to 3 years old without rusting, leaking, suffering esp faults or being off the road for a week due to the dealership, then Win!
