    I suspect that the cost is hiked up by any number of factors, area where he lives, where the car is parked overnight, his job description, other drivers (or lack of) and finally what the use of the car will be and the mileage.
    Parked on the road at night but secure car park during the day. 10k per annum, not used for work purposes, all exactly the same as our 2.2 Civic, so confused. However...Did the same on comparethe market which knocked it down to £703 with the same company! Better but still pants IMHO

      you do, and Im pretty sure it only counts with the company you are with, so I think if you claim it doesnt increase your premium with them. It works out as £1 per month more, so i am going with it anyway. Fingers crossed ill never need to test it out!
