He wasn't in a position to dispute anything at the time due to being cut out of the car.......he was behind a mondeo on a side road on the left who were both waiting to turn right, the mondeo made it but the clio driver either didn't see me or just took a risk and followed the mondeo. There was unfortunately nothing i could do as he pulled out across my path and the rest is history. Luckily for me the bloke in the mondeo works for the fire and rescue service and told the police at the scene that i had no chance of avoiding him etc. I would be very surprised if they could turn this around and try to blame me and i don't really want to think of that scenario but i'm fully comp with guaranteed replacement car anyway, but seeing as i never got around to getting gap insurance i'm hoping i don't get screwed from the third party insurance :/

You might want to check your insurance policy. A lot of them don't give you a courtesy car if your car is written off you only get one if your car is being repaired.

I'm going to retrieve the spare wheel kit (which i paid £179 for) when the car has been released from the police appointed recovery agent so I'll see if i can get a few piccies, not as though i want to be reminded of it but at least it will show how well it held up.
Will also have to check with Citroen UK if i can get my money back for the service plan otherwise I'll have to add that to the claim as well.

Grrrrr...the police still haven't released my car....it was inspected friday last week but the officer in question is now on holiday so "apparently" it can't be released until he is back according to the police person i spoke too :/ Which also means not much is happening on the insurance side......bloody great :/

Sorry to hear about your crash :-( Stupid clio, my c2 had a fight with one and lost (they went through a red light) I would keep phoning the police up and pester them to sort it out tbh. Its not difficult for another copper to sort it out for you. The police cocked my accident up and it took nearly a year to get a statement out of them, and that was after we put a complaint in.

I've been promised an update from the officer tomorrow when he is back on duty, just annoying that the whole process is being held up and my insurance (aviva) aren't interested as they have said they don't chase it up with the police.....

My crumpled DS3 has been finally examined at the repairers and it's a definite write-off ...just shy of £13000 it would cost lol. At least my hire car isn't a clio ...it's a vauxhall insignia cdti sri ...i was expecting some crappy ford ka lol
