    so what? i 47 and firmly in the sad bastard zone. ive been there and seen/done it. this is my 44th car ive owned since i was 18, including a large number of tasty ones and some absolute shite. ive owne escort mk1 and 2 rs, mexico, gt, avo, sports and x pack. ive owned lotus cortinas in both mk1 and 2 forms, 1600e mk2 cortina, savage 2.5 v4 mk2, capri 2.8 fulie and a 3.1 rs with a zakspeed body kit. i owned a tickford capri too. jensen interceptor, audi quattro homologation car, lotus esprit s4 and a rip snorting total utter nutter bastard lancia integrale putting out 465bhp at the wheels and doing 9mpg max. lotus carlton and a tvr chimera have been in my driveway in their time too.

    sad? if that means im happy to be cosseted in a dead cow skin or three and getting 45 mpg round town, then yes im a sad bastard and proud of it

      Me not usually sad, knew very well my mother and father who were married, and I dont wanna grow
      up or would have got a M.......M.........MIN one of those cars that are everywhere and are all "Grown up - lets be with the crowd" type boring cars

      But thats the slot I'm in for better or worse

        so did any of your cars have the 'Carmen fangango race kit' lol. Wot a great line up of cars though. My list is......
        Rover metro Turbo, Renault 5 GT Turbo, golf gti mk1, vectra 2.5 v6, Saab 2.0 Turbo se, but when I drive my DS I'm like a kid I love it don't care that I'm nearly 41

                no but some came with brown y fronts because handling and brakes werent as good on most of my old cars compared to my ds3. i drive mine with the speed limiter set now due to getting caught with it off

                  My first car was a HB Vauxhall Viva in burgandy, I loved it I used to pop in my CB radio a york JCB 861 (still got it) and away I went...............Ahhhhhhhhhh those were the days I am a radio ham now but most modern cars just dont have the spare room on the dash for a tranciever.

                        Glad to see a sudden influx of 36 - 43 year olds, although I'll be in the next group in 2 Months time. I think the sad bastard, grow up, fits me better anyway. But I have no intention of growing up, tried a Mondeo Estate for 4 Months, never ever going to buy a sensible car again.

                          I'm in the sad bastard category and I don't care! A large lure of the DS3 was it's yellowness, reminds me of the Avengers and Dolomites I used to own. I dont think anyone should grow up and don't believe there's an age limit on running modified or cool cars.

                              Mine matches my old Dolly Sprint in white with a black roof and black and silver wheels

                              not mine, but the same colour and year as my old one.

                                I had an 1850 HL in blue used to love the sound of the twin carbs. had a 1500 later on that was really really shite and blew up amongst other things
