With out this thread turning into a 'Shit-Storm' (pardon my French) a quick look over the Internet throws up hundreds of thread from all sorts of different owners forum mentioning this same issue, which means that the problem is not just Citroen related. An interesting explanation comes off a Merc owners forum and explains a couple of things I never knew.
I must say that I have looked at our demo (Polar) and our car and I can't tell if there is any difference, to me they look fine and match well, but with that said I guess everybody eye's are different.
I can't comment on the factory process as I don't know how the bumpers are matched to the car, my thought is that the bumpers are fitted from a 'stock' of the same colour. I would imagine that the bumpers are paint ahead of the bodies so unless the batch numbers are recorded and matched up later, I don't know.
...I should never have doubted the Lord of Bacon!!
Biggy, the annoying thing is that an exact colour match can be achieved, this is proved on my rear bumper....so is it too much to ask for the front one to match also, i think not especially on a brand new factory fresh vehicle.
They are sprayed separately and shipped separately from the car then matched to paint code and sequenced in so maybe lucky dip , not an excuse but plastics do spray differently! Majority of cars i see every night on shop floor match fine but certain colours always seem worse than others , White and some shades of blues being the worst ...
I wish I'd seen this thread before I washed her this morning. I can't say that I've noticed any colour difference but will have to wait until tomorrow when I get her out of the garage to go to Trax before I can have a good look. Although I'm setting out about 6 in the morning so it might be to dark to notice.
I've noticed the difference between body and front bumper before on mine but I thought it was just me seeing things. It's only very slight and I only see it in bright light. I've got to have the rear bumper replaced soon so hopefully the garage will do a good job of matching paints on that.

Just dropped her off at the dealer, car will be with them for 4/5 days. Speaking to the manager he said that Citroen has recognise the problem due to all the complaints an a fix is in place (his words).

That's interesting Alex, what dealers are you with ? are you getting your bumper sorted, or have you dropped your car off for a different matter ?
Still no reply from Citroen UK, so last Thursday i decided to call them to make sure they had received my email, they stated that they have and will be in touch with next week, we shall see if that's the case next week.
I trust they are going to fully remove your bumper, spray it then heat treat it, and not just conduct a smart repair. Did Citroen London have any issues in doing this work, plus is your car the first they have had with colour mismatch bumper.

The bodyshop manager said that they'll remove the bumper and spray it, he didn't go into details but it is a new car so I expect they know what to do. I was in the area about 2wks ago an popped in to show the salesman who sold me the car the problem, he was great, he took a few pictures and said he'll speak to the bodyshop dept and get back to me, 2 days later he called and said to book it in to resolve it. The dealer didn't have any issues in doing the work, they did mention they're aware of the problem, they even shown me a white DS3 show car which had the same problem. Not sure if mine is the first one going in to be resolve, I've a DS3R.
I will be very interested in the finished match of your newly sprayed bumper, sounds you like you have an excellent dealer, my dealer is also very good so wil give him a call next week to have mine sorted out.
I only emailed Citroen UK out of curiosity to see how they stand on this, but they appear to be "dragging their feet" on replying to me.
