I Typed "Speed Camera Van" Into Google Images And It's The 2nd Image...

If Your Implying That I Went On The Snooper Website For Whatever Reason And Got It Off There You're Mistaken, I Think You Should Go Look At The Properties Of The Image And See The Image URL... http://www.motorcyclenews.com/upload.../CameraVan.jpg

All these people worried about speed cameras. Just get the Mrs to take the rap. If it's good enough for our leaders it's good enough for the rest of us proles.

How long before the car's built-in GPS is linked to the ECU so that speeding will be a thing of the past?

Laser detectors are Useless, If your detector beeps, it means the laser has already been pointed at you and chances are you already caught, Only 100% way to get around it is to buy a laser detector with build in jammer which will probably cost £800+

After considering everything said on this site, I did end up purchasing the SNOOPER 3Zero and here are my thoughts:

It goes off a lot with different tones. It goes off with increasing speed of tone, on approach, for RADAR activated cameras on top of Slow down warning signs in town (Even when going under the limit but the tone is a bit quieter than normal) cameras on both pedestrian and traffic lights, ALL speed cameras in town, motorway etc etc. Also the GATSO temporay speed reductions, and the monitored distance on motorway cameras. You do have to set the unit up to be aware of ALL RADAR signatures/ bandwidths.

Pretty much goes off with everything which can be annoying BUT it does make you check your speed and sometimes (Que the slow down comments) you are going faster than you realise- especially when in a car like the THP 150 its easily done. The unit makes you check and address speed.

I find the EXTRA audible warning schools close very useful- you get the warning when YOU ARE NOT exceeding the speed limits in these areas. I find it better than a Sat Nav warning on the basis that you dont get all the other aspects of the Sat Nav thrown in- the distracting bright visual display (Especially at night even when on low brightness) and the constant narration of where you are. (Yes I know you can reduce volume but then u wouldnt get the warnings!)

The LASER aspect is interesting- It dont half make a real screaming racket when it detects LASER and not sure, as yet, if it detects trace LASER signals- suppose it must. Its gone off a couple times (You dont have to be travelling over the limit for the warning to go off) and one time I looked in the rear view mirror and saw a squad car sitting on top of the motorway bridge I'd just travelled under. Was doing under the limit but understood the warning worked!

Weekly downloads for latest info is real easy and takes less than 30 seconds to hook up and download altho was a bit disappointed that you have to pay ad xtra £30 a year for this service. They should at least throw the first year in for free. This also collates information of the latest known mobile van detectors in the area. If the camera in the mobile vehicle is RADAR triggered, THIS WILL TRIGGER AN ALERT whether you are over the limit or not.

The debate within this thread has consisted of "if you are under the limit then theres no problem" and yes that is quite true. But this device will warn you of cameras etc, even when below the limit.

Saying all this- it is a bit pricey for a bit of kit which just seems to squawk all the time- but in conclusion I would rather have it than not.

Not going down the route of a JAMMER for me as read a few stories on the web, and there could be legal issues on using it.

It did make me smile with the "Ad Choice" banner at the bottom of the forum pages actually advertises the SNOOPER 3zero occasionally, after a bit of critiscism on the unit in the thread

ANYWAY- Just my opinion/ thoughts on the SNOOPER 3zero. Feel free to PM me on any questions you dont want to put on the public forum and I reckon a good sub forum on this site would be peoples opinions on devices/ upgrades to vehicles and as to whether they work

the banner at the bottom changes depending on what you have recently viewed on your computer so its different for everyone. And i doubt the 'squad car' will be using lazer on a motorway bridge, we dont do that but atleast you are happy.

Coming up to a year with this baby (Snooper) and not sure whether to pay the 1 yr renewal at £30ish on getting camera locations and speed trap daily updates function.
Spose its daft to have it and not be able to update- but wonder if the updates actually happen, or paying money for nothing
Sceptical about the mobile speed camera updates
Laser alarm has come on a few times- jees its noisy, and once, shortly after the larm, saw a speed patrol officer pointing his pistol thing at people too!

Thread resurrection- A bit similar to my last post in December 2012
Does someone else have one of these, as Ive been paying £8 a quarter for the AURORA database (Daily updated speed cameras)
That's about £120 since my last post.....

Is there anything else out there that updates camera locations that doesn't require a subscription?

You should be able to get them for your TomTom, looking on the site, £29.99 for 18 months atm. I think the new ones have it included.

I simply cannot believe that anyone on this reputable forum would ever willingly exceed the speed limit. This thread is simply for research purposes, obviously
