Other Android apps like this would be Lookout and Prey.

To be honest with you most thieves these days tend to steal the keys rather then break into the car as it is a lot easier because people tend to leave their keys near the door. Having a better setup at home does help some what.

Here's an interest tip my father told me when we lived in London, he used this one all the time. Pop the bonnet open and switch over two of the HT leads, remembering which ones(!), and lock the car up. If a thief does steal the car he won't get far before the car chokes it's self to death and stalls, in that situation most crooks will leave the car.

Or if you have a driveway you can get these bollards that fold which are not that expensive to install.

Can't remember what the site was, though it was using an old Nokia 3210 so there wasn't any app available on the phone. I'm fairly sure though there was a subscription charge (might have been something like £5 a month) obviously still cheaper than a tracker.

Think I've put the official tracker idea to bed... Might see about some cheaper non-certified alternatives though...

Came across this within a trade mag, looks like it might be a good one because of no fee but I couldn't tell you the price.
