  • I never did understand this mania for cup holders. Eating and drinking whilst in control of the vehicle is illegal anyway, and if passengers insist on doing so (frowned upon, in my car!) they can jolly well hold onto their cups etc.

    Minor niggles with the car:-

Orange screen for the radio etc. Would prefer LCD like the fuel gauge / cruise control.

The position of interior light. My C4 had two - one above the rear view mirror for the front; the other in the back. A single one (virtually in the back) makes no sense and is quite awkward to use.

The sloping floor in front of the front passenger seat. My wife has long legs and a back problem. She finds it uncomfortable on long journeys not to be able to stretch her legs out in front of her. (The C4 was fine).

The small seats. The seat base isn't long enough to provide adequate support. I've got used to it now, but it felt weird to begin with, after the C4 (there's a theme developing here!!) which had adult sized seats, not children's ones!

Not having the digital air con. Mines the manual version. (OK, that one's my fault, but I decided I didn't want to pay extra for the 'plus' version which would also have given me Bellone wheels, bluetooth, an arm rest and probably also other stuff, none of which I wanted)

None of the above would deter me from buying another DS3 though - cracking little car.

    • Not a problem with the car but I've just had the car in for its first service today. Where I specifically asked for it not to be washed, the girl wrote on the job sheet in big capital letters, DO NOT WASH THIS CAR, yet I've just turned up to find it has been 'washed'! A tad incompetent? I'm giving them one less job to do. It may sound daft to some but I really don't like anyone else cleaning my car. I should have the choice. I've now just driven home with a window I can hardly see out of with all their soap half dried on it. What can you do though??? Anyone else had this problem?
      If in doubt, flat out!

Try invoicing the dealer at "detailers rates" and see how they react ^_^

They wouldn't be able to afford the rate!

I purposefully take it in as dirty as possible. If anything does happen to it then it's easily noticeable that way. Had cars come back with mysterious scuffs, scrapes and dents in the past. Not to mention the actual cleaning process.

I'll check the car over in the daylight tomorrow and go from there. Fingers crossed all is well!

          • The fact that the seats on my model are fitted with heaters but alas no switches .........pointless plus the lack of cup holders that pisses me right off lol

            • The way that I can't turn off the radio and have to mute it. Took it to my dealership and they said that's just how it is. Stupid.

Literally couldn't care less about cupholders in a car. I never drink in the car.

                      • This week: not having a spare wheel. Though I know that's not exactly unique these days.

                          • Not having a cd player - tbf i dont mind it as much as having it replaced with a completely useless compartment that is only 25 mil deep.

                            • The fact that the steering wheel and gear knob is part metal and burns your hand in the summer
The USB and 12V power ports are in the wrong place, they are nicely placed in the centre console in a C4

                              • Could do with a bit more storage space/cup holder! With the 90 HP diesel sometimes get caught under 1500 RPM and it's a no go zone! But brilliant workhorse. Great.
