Anybody else wake up to this on their cars today?
    http://metro.co.uk/2014/03/31/why-wa...rning-4683903/

We should probably hold a minute silence for anybody who washed their cars over the weekend.
The weather pattern is due to stick around for a while so I wouldn't bother with a wash just yet.

Mine was extra dirty today, I'll blame this.

Mine was fine when I left this morning (7.30am).

Knowing my luck it will be covered when I get back though.

New dust on top of the old dust right?

I've been having a look at #SaharaDust on Twitter and it looks like some people are having a hard time getting it off. I'm not sure I want to leave it on my car, but at the same time I don't want to wash it off to find more on my car tomorrow.

                  It's fantastic news for twitchers.
Southern birds get blown up here with the dust.

Woke up to it on mine this morning after cleaning it yesterday. Cleaned it again this morning. This afternoon a light shower covered it again. Another excuse to wash it. YAHOO!!!

A word of caution. Anybody washing their cars either now or when the sand cloud has passed then please make sure you give the surface a good pre-rinse/snow foam first. Then a good 2bm. Do not use a qd or a waterless wash as the sand is obviously very abrasive and will cause scratches and swirls if not cleaned off properly first.

I heard the best method was sandpaper? Because they're both sand they're attracted to each other, that's how beaches are formed.

Oli - no, just no.... you need a rotary polisher straight on the sand to shift it
