    Looks impressive, but, you're intercooler has 14 ram air (fin) sections and 13 charge air tubes, yet visible and attainable through the grille mouth are 8 ram air (fin) sections and 7 charge air tubes, thus rendering the rest of the lower and upper sections of the intercooer redundant, also the ram air fin section is too tall, about 1/5 of the section height is useless, no ram air no further reduction in temperature dissipation!

        Time to purchase Citroen's "Sports" Grille I think ^_^ (that's the chickenwire one that Citroen sell for anyone interested)

            Just checked it for you, but it needs to be 11 air sections and 10 air tubes.
            You can't judge from only one picture mate!!!

            And about the temperature, standard it ran at about 62 degrees celcius after some short runs, now it is 28 degrees inlet temperature at maximum!
            Think there are not much better and cheaper solutions with the standard front bumper!
            Take the forge intercooler and the price is allmost doubled....

                  So with the factory standard intercooler you're engines intake temperatures registered at 62ºc with an ambient (outside) temperature of....? And now with you're custom intercooler you're engines registered intake temperatures are 28ºc what are the ambient (outside) temperatures ?

                  • These THP engines need mapping on rollers every time, where knock,boost and a/f ratios need to be monitored.
                    As I found with ours there can be a lot of underlying problems that need to addressed before any mapping takes place. Remember that these engines run scarily lean to meet European regs, so if your map is not set up and data logged properly it could lead to serious damage.
                    Ive seen maps in THP cars where they've been adjusted even leaner than that of stock.

                    • That's why it's going on the RR. The company have also asked, almost begged, if they can have it for 2 days to go through it properly and check everything out.

                      They have done alot of THP's in cooper s' but this will be their first ds3 so they want to make sure it's perfect (yeah, that's what I thought)

                            • I'm getting my car equipped with a custom exhaust soon.
                              And my Induction Kit has been shipped, which i'll receive prolly next week.

                              Honestly, i cbb waiting 3 years for the warranty to pass by :/
