Highly don't recommend this. The glue run down on to the paint and now my car will never be the same

Surely it should be fine if using a small amount of glue? It sounds as though you may have used too much..

The simple answer to this question is this; what colours has main stream manufactures fitted?

Bear in mind that car makers employ a huge team of legal experts to ensure that their vehicles fall within the EU regulations as well as separate territories. If it was legal to have different colours then at least one marque would have taken advantage by now.
