  • Brakes Upgrade

Has anyone upgraded the brakes on the DS3 from the OEM ones?

    Any good recommendations?

Need new brake pads and i was curious to see if anyone had had any good experience with some other brands.

Are you looking to upgrade the whole setup or just the pads ?

Suppose DS3 Racing kit would be a simple (& Expensive) upgrade,

In regards to pads I swear by EBC Green Stuff, Brilliant pads !

My Current discs are EBC Grooved which are also better in comparison to the stock setup. Not too sure on performance Brembo discs as I had them before my current EBC's and the edges wore away quite quickly :/ I'll be sticking with EBC for now

Yeah i was looking at these and heard good things. Do you have to warm them up a little before they start to work well?

I've been asked that before but they've been consistently great since they've been on. They work great 1st thing in the morning the same as they do after a few miles.

I think the ones that are a little 'harder' and need to bed in a bit are the EBC 'Red Stuff' pads. They're advertised for heavier and high performance cars aswell as for use on track.

+1 on the Brembo's wearing fast. Mine lasted around 9months before they developed a pretty fat lip.

Is there a direct swap (Upgraded) grooved and slotted brake disc then?
Rather than any size difference- just a better quality direct swap?
Apols if this has been answered somewhere

I mean if the brakes aren't covered by warranty after 6.5k then you can put in what you want I spose

I Upgraded my my front discs and pads to EBC Turbo Groved + Drilled discs and GreenStuff brake pads, photos to come. They make a noticeable improvement to the braking of the car :-D and look good too. The standard discs didn't last long, huge lip inside and outside edges, both sides, only had the car 5-6 weeks :-( plently of meat left on the pads though, these looked nearly new still?
