Is there a rattling noise on the left hand side of the engine?
It might be when starting from cold for a while, and it may stay, it may go

If you get this, take a video on your phone and show Citroen

Or just get a dealer that understands where you are coming from .There is enough info on this lack of power problem now they just fuck about trying to put off the obvious no matter how much aggro they stick the owner through .

        • They wont do anything without a bit of evidence though- and a video is better than nothing. Could even post to CUK

I must have had a understanding dealer never had any problems with sorting out the mess that Citroen Engine design caused.

At the end of the day things do go wrong and we as a consumer do understand that but the pissing around between dealer and Cuk is the bit that gets me .......................if its broke bloody fix it and get the guy back on the road as a priority sort the politics out later .

Or is it more like Cuk dont trust the information that the dealer sends them

            • I recorded a video of my powerless engine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuZtyS8GpOc. Can you hear anything special in it?

That's a lovely rattle you have going on there...

How're you getting on with the sudo dealership?

Is it rattle or just injectors ticking?

                  • Honestly sounds completely normal to me? The video camera has a quite directional mic which means it sound different to real life but I can't hear anything out of the ordinary. Not saying its a quiet engine of course but none of them are even the non turbo without the high pressure GDI injectors rattles just like this at idle.

                    • Doesnt sound too bad to me. None of them are like a Rolls Royce engine.
Slight clicking, and I don't have that- but as you say you are shoving the microphone right into it. If it gets worse- take it for check.
Have heard it on several engines- just mention it next time u r in for service
How many miles you done Ilzed?

Am convinced they do not like cold weather these engines. Mine certainly sounds a tadge more uneven when its cold
Other days when temp is up, its fine. And when its warm its fine.
Wondering if its to do with the oil not being as effective in lower temps.
Seems a lot of condensation burns off too.
If I had a garage- I'd use it and keep at an even temperature

Mine's even worse as I have forged internals which cause lots of noise cold.

Would suggest a dehumidifier, but that may be getting a bit "keen" LOL
Think it would stop condensation on the internals of the engine- can only be a good thing
