I'm no expert when it comes to the mechanical side of things but wouldn't Clutch Slip occur every time you changed gear rather then just one? From my understanding Clutch Slip happens due to wear or excess oil in the clutch, my old ford had a failing clutch which was easy to spot because I had to keep down shifting all the time and it would rev high when changing gears!

I'm wondering if the slight judder is vibration being transmitted through the pedal from the clutch at bite where it's under tension? I dear say someone more educated in these things will put me right!

          Alec? o.0

I wouldn't worry too much. It seem's only us with older engines are blighted by the THP issues.

I also have the slight power loss. I have the 1.6 HDI sport. The car cut out completely after the shuddering caused me to have to pull in and then when I got it restarted it limited itself to 30mph. The dealership have replaced the sensor as the ERG valve was forced closed. The problem still hasn't been resolved so its going back Monday as fuel economy is also down from 58.7 to 50.3. Have been told a problem with ds4s is that. condensation made in the fuel tank could cause water to contaminate the fuel. I have also had the fuel filter replaced and was told to put premium diesel in the car.

Have to say my dealership have been fantastic, I just want the issue resolved so I can continue to enjoy my car!

I had similar problems plus in the end it wouldnt start properly I was told it was the fuel injector transmitters.. It went in for 2 days and had it back but to be honest it is still not the best.. it seems to lose power.. at the worst times... mine too is the 1.6 hdi 90.. but having a different car as from tomorrow so I no longer have to suffer the bad running..

With regards to the engine judder. The last time it happened to me, I switched the cruise control on and set a value and the juddering stopped, so I turned the cruise off. That was about 3 weeks ago. I've not used the CC since that time and the juddering seems to have stopped

If I ever get this I'd give that a go, that said I use Cruise and limiter a fair bit already

Do you use premium diesel fuel- could stop clogging issues
And not just a half tank- they reckon a car needs 6 tanks of a fuel to get used to it
                        Premium only for me

I've never had clogging problems, I tend to use whichever of Shell, BP or Esso is cheaper, quite happy to use Tesco fuel as well
