Another update: I managed to get Citroen UK to agree to pay for the first service on the car. Flushed with this success, I left the office to go home and discovered a flat tyre - not repairable!!!!!
In the meantime the car has developed what I would describe as an irregular tick over when idling. Another THP155 failing? Anyway, its in the garage just now having the turbo replaced. Should get it back tonight.
Interestingly, I've got a standard 1.6 petrol DS3 as a courtesy car. It seems to have just as much oomph as my THP155, so I wonder if the turbo has ever worked?

Dealer thinks mine is the temp sensor, problem is on the 155 they moved it inside the housing so you have to replace the housing along with the sensor. the 150bhp had an external sensor.

Toxic, this is exactly what happened to my THP155 after the water pump got replaced. The fan would run at full blast for about 10 minutes after the car was turned off. They replaced the whole temperature housing.

This gets better!!!! Just had a call from the garage; they have replaced the turbo, taken it out for a road test and lo & behold the same fault light has come on again! You just couldn't make this up.

id be wanting answer of how they are diagnosing faults, replacing parts until it is fixed or actually looking at what system uses the fault light first.

sounds like Mechanics are just fitters with no brains!

Seems like you are trapped in the same loop I was in

My wife has a C3 VTi120 and every time I jump out of my DS3 THP155 and into her car I find that I am changing up way too early and got my foot to the floor waiting for the turbo to kick in. So it's a bad sign if you think they have the same oomph.

Latest news: just been told that they have now had to replace the electrovalve (whatever that is) and a full set of vacuum pipes. Should be getting it back this evening. Hopefully they will have put back on all of the various bits that they had to take off!!!
Who here said that they are replacing the endgine bit by bit?

Just got this from Citroen UK in reply to my request for a further goodwill gesture:

                        Hello

                        Thanks for your further e-mail.

I've been in contact with Alan at Wingrove who confirmed the turbo was replaced but they found an issue with the electrovalve which is linked and part of the same unit.

This has been replaced today and he's hoping to have the vehicle back with you by 6pm tonight.

I'm sorry the repair has taken slightly longer than anticipated but Alan has confirmed he's provided a courtesy vehicle to ensure you're kept mobile.

I acknowledge you've asked for further consideration on what we can do regarding the vehicle being off the road, and personal vacation time and costs but I'm afraid your warranty does not make provision for this neither do we provide compensation in any form. However, as mentioned previously I've been happy to pay for the cost of the service as a gesture of goodwill.

I hope you'll be able to enjoy your vehicle once back with you and thanks again for contacting us on this occasion.

                        Kind regards

I'm fairly sure that I've read on here that they quite regularly hand out goodwill gestures as well as free services?

It's been offered to a lot of people but Citroen aren't always the best at keeping to their word =/
