Update: got the car back. So far, so good. Bizzarely they did not replace the pipe that they repaired with tape, yet put a complete new set of vacuum pipes on! They put 58 miles on the clock doing road testing, but had the good grace to put £15 of petrol in the car for me - so no complaints there.
The issue now is that I'm expecting something else to go wrong. For example I've detected some road noise coming into the car from the drivers door. I don't think it was there before, but I've checked the seals and how the door fits and all looks fine. Basically, I've completely lost confidence in it. Sad really.

The worst time it happened to me was in the winter in the middle of nowhere and no phone signal luckily managed to limp the car home .......................but some people on here will say " it could happen to any car" .....................yes it may but in all the new cars I have owned never so major .
It seems Claude the French techie who built mine must have built yours

Must remember next week when i am picking up the car,ask why there are so many White DS3 DSports in the car park of the dealership, seen 4 of them yesterday inc mine....
maybe Citroen had a time bomb set on all the 155's to break at the same time

Relatively speaking, so too with the 150 altho the Racing suffers a bit more
Its the piston and PCV issues that are integral to the engine, and the real long term issue IMO
Water pumps, turbos, knock sensors, timing gear (Dependant on reason) can go on any car, at any time
Wouldnt even recognise my service manager, but who knows- might be inviting him round for dinner soon LOLsigpicJog on Noddy

Mines finally back with me now after a week at the dealers getting new temp sensor and housing fitted.
It definitely takes it out of you when the car is in getting repairs carried out so often.

Slow no...Take it your dealer wasnt busy then?
I was going to book mine in with this dealer previously before the temp sensor/warning light came on, they told me they were fully booked solid for two weeks. when i turned up the following week with the warning light on full, they said they could try to fit it in but could not promise it would be fixed any quicker as they were full booked up. enough said really.
