no yet no, though contemplating doing it. Wallnut blasting in NI is unheard of. so they are only other options. there are at least 3-5 terraclean agents in NI and one of them is very active on Facebook and posts quiet often regard Direct Injection cleaning.

        https://www.facebook.com/TerracleanN...reland?fref=ts

for £80 quid I guess its the best option in my area.

I might also go for a full Terraclean Service after that if I find the first session worth it.

here's one Direct Injection clean with comments from owner.

You thinking this Gaz, or going for the blasting with Jamie? The blasting looks good, but very labour intensive, therefore will be pricey altho sure Jamie will try keep costs down
Mine is 18month old, and 18k miles so may give the £80 Terraclean a go every year and see what materialises

Thanks Toxic. Will go have a lookie
Not sure whether its worth the Terraclean before winter, or after, as the catch can seems to do most its work in the winter, therefore engines worst "dirty" period would be during winter. Maybe an April clean session. Will have a think

Was thinking of getting a camera in there first just to see how bad it is then make a decision from there

Think Toxic posted a link up about a camera to buy

I could help you there if you like- next time I'm up your way you could have a look, and then could go and get it done, next time up after that you could have another look. So long as i get the piccies too :-)

Not planning on being up next for 6/7 weeks tho

Think will give the £80 terraclean a go as it saves you all that hard hard work ;-)

To me, an £80 Terraclean every year isnt too much an additional cost on top of servicing, if it works and cleans the valves
Just goes with the territory of a GDI THP i suppose

Spotted a Terraclean van parked near me which is an option for the future.

Ultimately it all depends if you think preventative measures are worth the money, I do.
