  • Bluetooth not connecting? - READ THIS

No doubt this question will be asked again and again as new people join....

If your DS3 has bluetooth and can search and find your phone, but fails the pairing stage then you can do the following, (2 and 3 at your own risk)

    1. Go to your dealer who will reset the audio system and then it should work.

    or

    2. Disconnect (with your ignition off) your battery positive terminal for 15 seconds and then reconnect.

    or

    3. Pull the audio system fuse for 15 seconds (with ignition off) and then replace. This should be a fuse in the glove box fuse board. On my DSport is is fuse 8, a yellow 20AMP fuse, but please check your user manual to ensure you have the right fuse.

You should then be able to search, find and pair your bluetooth phone for calls, and if supported for directory listings and streaming of stereo audio. If is still doesn't work, it may well be that your phone is not supported.

    Cheers

Had my phone with me when I collected the car so I made the Dealer pair the phone. He had to take the car back into the workshop and 'reset' the audio before it would pair it kept failing when we first tried.

But for future reference the systems works great with the Iphone, even plays the music straight of the phone across the bluetooth.

I had a similiar problem which seemed to be after I'd renamed my iPhone; lost the connection and just didn't want to reconnect properly. I was expecting to have to disconnect the battery to reset the connecting box, but managed to get it working again.

Deleted pairing from DS3 & iPhone, then left it! Went to work as normal, intending to pop into the dealer on the way home to get them to disconnect the battery, but tried to re-pair on the way home and it worked!!!!? Connecting box automatic reset over time?

Almost as though leaving the DS3 off for an hour or so (with the bluetooth pairing deleted) seemed to reset it - is there an automatic timeout for the connecting box, I wonder?

To confirm No.2 works. Known issue on Citroën and Paugeot Bluetooth systems. Especially if pairing an iPhone.

I too had an issue pairing with a normal phone - both the phone and car found each other, but wouldn't pair.
I disconnected the battery, this seemed to work but be sure to reconfigure your electronic key - see the manual to be sure but I think it's just a case of inserting the key, put into position 2 (ie with all the lights on on the dash), keep the 'lock' button depressed for 5 seconds or something.
Also, the radio takes a while to reboot too.

I had excellent customer service from my dealer Wilcox Citroen... Dave my salesman was well aware of the pairing issues with connection to bluetooth using my mobile... When we tried pairing it didn't work !!!.

He drove my car into the workshop to see Mechanic CT Ryan who sorted this issue out...Thankyou Ryan.

Citroen you have issues with pairing bluetooth !!!.

I would advise new owners of DS3'S to get there phones paired before leaving showrooms...Hope this Helps Clarky.

Collected my Dsport last weekend and have been trying to connect my LG GT505 since, kept on getting pairing failure. Have this morning disconnected battery for 1 min, turned on iginition without starting, able to enter pairing code and now works fine.

You don't need to pull the battery if you can't be bothered, you can also pull the grey 'Shunt' fuse inside the glovebox as this will reset the car into parc mode then back into customer mode, just remember which side you pulled it out of.

                    Hey all,

I can't get my HTC HD2 (Windows 6.5 phone) to pair with my DS3. When I search for the phone it finds it no problem, but then it displays 'Pairing Conditions Not Met' on the car display and doesn't prompt for the passcode. I've tried with a Dell Streak (Android) as well but with no luck. I pulled the grey 'Shunt' fuse as recommended by BigFeet above but the same error occurs. Does this mean that the car won't pair with either of my devices? Neither are on the compatibilty list but I thought they would work as they are newish devices and pair with every other device I've tried them with.

                    Any tips gratefully received!

                    Cheers
                    Andy

Just to let you know if you don't already, I went to the dealers today with a seat problem and they said while the car was there there was an outstanding recall on the Bluetooth system they would do while the car was there,
So might be best to give your dealer a ring If people are having issues,
Saying that we were not having an issue with ours but was recalled anyway!

When playing music through my phone using the bluetooth, it sometimes just cuts off like its lost connection. Does anyone ales have this?

Yeah, mine does this, falls out of sync with everything, and then syncs again automatically. Not cool if you are singing ;-)

All these issues with Bluetooth kinda makes me glad I haven't got it and all my ancillaries are wired in.
One thing that surprised me was the comment about switching to the radio and being blasted out.....on my system each of the inputs has its own volume level
