Just tried Ian's guidance on with my new HTC Widfire S.

Was getting the 'Pairing conditions not met message' - dealer said the phone was 'too new - but let us have it for a couple of hours next week & we'll see what we can do'!

So, not wanting to trust them with my phone, I pulled the number 8 dashboard fuse, left it a couple of minutes, fuse back in, ignition on & voila - instant pairing!

Had to reset the clock, but that's a small price to pay!

        Cheers Ian!

          Hi All

Although my phone 'pairs' without problem with my phone, when streaming music the volume is very low - not high enough to listen 2. Any ideas?

          Thanks

Try adjusting the media volume on your phone to see if thats the problem, may also help if you let us know what phone you use.

                iphone connects but no sound

                Hi,

An issue no1 seems to have run into. My iphone connects fine, can make and receive calls etc. but when I switch it to stream music I can choose any track on the phone and play it but I get no sounds. Will try a fuse reset tomorrow but didn't know if anyone else had any ideas?

                cheers

My bluetooth was working fine then suddenly stopped . It pairs ok but calls go straight to the phone rather than to the bluetooth system , any ideas ?

Yeah mine's being odd too. Had problems when I picked the car up. The car would pair for calls but wouldn't stream music. Suddenly started working after connecting and disconnecting via USB. Worked for almost a week just fine then one day got into my car after work and suddenly wouldn't stream music again. Tried everything on the way home then eventually turned the engine on and off again and it worked just fine. My husband has a iPhone 4 and when we connect his phone via USB then scroll through the sources when you get back to USB there's no sound. However with my 4s it works fine. It seems the iPhone can be quite tempremental!

Similar story for me, ive had my 3rd DS3 for 8 mths now and I have used my Sony Xperia X10 via Bluetooth for phone and music with no problems.

Over the last week or so when I get in the car and turn it on I get a message pop up on the screen asking me to "pronounce voice..." the only button that gets rid of it is the "esc" button, all seems fine and my phone works ok apart from the media playback. My phone tells me its playing and the Ds3 recognises that my Sony is streaming on screen but no sound. I have checked the media vol on my phone, ive tried disconnecting & re-pairing it but still the same issue!!

I have today called into Yeomans Citroen in Exeter to report the problem, after a few blank expressions, 3 Citroen technicians and lots of twiddling with buttons they think it may have been the 1st service which I had last month, it seems the car is hooked up and receives all sorts of updates, including media & bluetooth! They checked their puter system with my car details and it seems there was an update / recall for earlier model Ds3's for problems with connectivity to the bluetooth but my car was not due for that update as it is too new! However they think that in connecting the car for the service may have possibly reset or changed a few settings in the Bluetooth system. Im booked in tomorrow for an hour for them to go through it and see if they can make it work again.... Ill let you know how we get on...

Hi my DS3 has been back to Pentagon Citroen in Oldham today as I've had problems with my Bluetooth since I picked it up three weeks ago. It wouldn't connect to my iPhone 4s for about 20 mins then after lots of playing around suddenly did but since then every couple of days it will suddenly decide it doesn't want to stream music or worse wont find my phone at all. My husband (who has an ear for these things) also noticed a crackle in the audio which the guys at Pentagon agreed with. Even though they can't find a fault they agree it's not right and have ordered a new head unit for me. Let's hope that sorts both the quality and connection issues!

Oh what fun, been at Citroen for over an hour,

I demonstrated the issue with my Sony phone to 2 technicians, we even tried an iPhone 4s and that had the same issue, when you turn car on it displays the message "pronounce voice description" and you cant stream media & phone via the Bluetooth. On both phones we could get media or phone working individually but not together, they even tried resetting the system by disconnecting the power - It didn't work! Remember my phone worked perfectly for 8 mths up until my 1st 12.5k service when they connected it to their diagnostics.....

The technicians have contacted head office and there is a log for similar fault's but they as yet don't have a fix, Im now waiting for a phone call from Citroen with what they intend to do about it.... ill let you know...

No phone call Friday with a fix from Citroen & since it went in on Thursday my DS3 is now showing engine warning & service lights every time I get in and start it. They have now booked me in for two days on Thursday this week to hopefully sort. I'm hoping I can blag a DS4 or DS5 for the 2 days...
