I've always got it set 3/4 rear, makes it sound way nicer also means anyone in the back can't hear what you're talking about in the front lol

Glad you're getting it sorted- nothing worse than a gadget that won't work

iTunes never caused me any problems with USB's in the DS3 but glad to hear hat things seemed to have sorted themselves out.

iTunes is weird in that it adds DRM to things sometimes and other times it doesn't. I've never been able to figure out any set pattern for it

^ I think it's more to do with the device rather than the music. You can use a program called sharepod to remove music from an Apple device and there is no DRM with the music.

Sharepod might remove or maybe Apple have changed their policy- they used to add DRM to all tracks sold via iTunes and in the early days all tracks you stored via iTunes

Apple dropped DRM from iTunes some time ago after Steve Jobs announced it in a letter or something.

I beg to differ- Apple always say things- what they actually do is a totally different thing- they are famous in the IT community for it. The amount of problems caused by iTunes worldwide is quite incredible- if it wasn't Apple and as such people have no choice in using it then nobody would ever use it. Have a search and you will see millions of posts about iTunes issues with non apple products.

Just tried adding more files today and found an album that seems to corrupt it. Can't see why as it's mp3 and same kbps as others in there. So I remove the folder and re-inset the USB and guess what. Now the USB isn't recognized or read at all lol. Bloody gremlins I hate you!! At least I found the folder and will make sure I don't put it back on once I format and start again

Any unusual characters in the file names?
