On a more serious note, since I was 16 I have worked in various different areas of business. I have experience of property management, I worked for a building maintenance company for 2 years and was responsible for the day to day management of engineers, think you have been ripped off by a gas engineer or electrical engineer? Having done the job I know all the tricks in the trade so will probably be able to tell you!

For the last 3 years I have worked for Durham Constabulary (my local Plod), I have had several jobs since working here but I have vast experience of Working within the Economic Crime department where we dealt with all types of Fraud (from buying and selling of stolen goods, E.G Copper. To people selling IPAD’s on a pay monthly system (which didn’t actually exist).

Putting the 2 above roles together ive became a bit of a dab hand at knowing a bad deal when I see one or spotting a dodgy company/ person from a mile away.

I have been a retail manager for 20+ years, so know pretty much all there is to know about it. Pretty good on interview techniques as well if anyone needs it.

Been using the net since 1997, so am pretty adapt at researching anything, and also finding the best deal if you want to buy anything, as I have always been good at sniffing out a bargain.

Anything tech related I can usually help with e.g, PC and Home cinema builds, Android, Windows or gadgets in general. Also pretty good on the technical side of photography, and can help if you use Lightroom.

Dog training and behaviours I can usually help with as well.

Retail related question - If I buy a pair of trainers online and within a month, the sole has come loose. Would this be counted as general wear and tear or should it be replaced under the sale of goods act?

Any item of clothing or pair of shoes you buy should be of reasonable quality, with no damage such as missing buttons, holes, stains etc. The items should be fit for the purposes intended

You should be able to argue this point, as long as they don't look like you have run a couple of marathons in them, in which case they will put it down to wear and tear.

Also, if the sole on a pair of shoes comes away after a few weeks of normal wear, they probably weren't of satisfactory quality when you bought them, so use this point as well.
