This was the splitter of choice until the Triple R one was developed. There are posts here that discuss fitting of the Cupra one, from memory, you'll need some clamps and a small drill, some screws and a stanley knife to trim and fit.

Price sounds about normal. Fitting requires some cutting to size, some bullclips and starting in the middle working outwards should give you no problems though.

And yes I will be the boring one here.... Check how your insurance is affected. Most seem to class a splitter as "performance enhancing" and will probably hit you in the 'nads hard with an increase in premium. Or.... Just don't tell them, but ssssssh!

Daaaaaaamn. I thought my £750ish last year was high for the same car. And my last insurer point blank refused to insure me with a Triple R splitter, so those plans were scuppered.

That said, my new insurer is chilled about mods and hasn't charged me at all for what I've already got.

Age will play a bit factor in it too, unfortunately.

Be grateful you only have to pay £110 a month- mines £220 a month as i use it for business (Im a Quantity surveyor and have to travel around different construction sites) and im same as you 20 y/o with 1 years no claims (nearly two now)

                          £220 a month is extortionate!

Knowing that then i suppose mine isnt too bad

Yeah to be fair I do have a 1.6 diesel (not sure what engine size you run?) but its the most ive ever paid for insurance and its not modified (much- shhh!) and its the second newest car ive owned (had a c1 from brand new (16plate) and traded it for this as it was boring to drive in comparison haha

Mines the vti 120 1.6 petrol. I had an 07 plate 207 1.4 before but that was a pile a crap and that was even more on insurance!

Really want to start adding mods but ive just got off the phone to them and they want to add £99 on the premium just to have a splitter so not bothering

Yeah I'm the same- ive just done very minor things such as wind deflectors, a few stickers here and there (club ones obviously!), An armrest, Dashcam installed, but I would love to get some real performance mods on there too- its just too expensive
