We do have a track & trace system but that only works if the car is built with and has a VIN.

My advice would be that if your car is being delayed and you have a PX then check in with your dealer as there maybe a change in figures. The offers should stand with Citroen such as the 7.2% APR Elect3 and Servicing deals but again ask your dealer to confirm this with Sales Support at CUK.
I'm not bothered by the delays just frustrated. I understand certainly not having a go at the dealer. You buy a car being built in France you have to expect the a strike over there may impact on the delivery time lol. (i'm only stereotyping as I cant see how a car manufacturing factory can run out of parts for something they build every day without a strike being the cause)

I've still got my car up for private sale before I trade it in. Thought i'd try get more for it whilst I wait but I feel for your daughter.

These days most manufacturers work to a 'Lean Manufacturing' system, they only stock enough parts for a few days production & rely on their suppliers to keep them supplied with the parts they require when they require them. Unfortunately the suppliers also do the same & therefore are reliant on their suppliers. Therefore there are many small cogs in the supply chain & it only takes one of them to fail to bring the whole thing to a grinding halt. Unfortunately if they didn't do things this way we would have to pay a lot more for our cars.
DS3 Racing, also available in White!!!

Contacted dealer can't give me a date but said it would most likely be July.
If I don't get delivery in July doesn't the Citroen factory shut down for the whole of August?

Forgot about the August shut down We have an "anticipated" delivery date of 8 weeks from today but it's for the DSport Plus. Not sure if it will be affected by shortages/holiday season etc. Only thing I am concerned about is timing the sale of our C4. We do have a motorbike to get around on if need be so it's not like we would be without transport but still, would be nice to know that 8 weeks is somewhere in the ball park?

Well I guess there's nothing we or the dealers can do about it so will just have to wait and see how it goes, but I do have a feeling that the 8 weeks we have been told is probably quite optimistic. Will try and find out more today.

Hi, I ordered my DS3 1.6Ehdi 110 DSport Plus Sports red/black roof on 25 May and was originally told 2nd week in June, then week 26, now this morning week 29, really annoying but there's nothing we can do, my car gets 28mpg so can't wait

I guess we are lucky getting 33mpg from our 1.6 Petrol C4 VTR+! Still, way too many trips to the old petrol station for me now and I prefer the low down torque of a diesel engine. It's a long wait but patience comes with age and I have both of those in abundance

Just heard from our dealer and got a bit of a confusing reply. First they reckon the change of paint from Obsidian Black to the new Perla Black makes no difference. They said it's just the name that has changed but as I understand it, this is not the case and the paint is different, all be it not different enough to really notice it?

Second was about the parts situation. On the one hand they say it should not affect our order but then go on to say that they expected the cars currently on order to be delivered mid July but "the parts situation has moved them to August". So first it's not a problem then it is a problem. Obviously not thought that one through?

Either way we just have to wait. It will arrive when it arrives. Bit frustrating but that's the way things are.

The new Perla Nera Black is a darker truer Black than the slightly grey Obsidian Black, granted it's rather hard to photo.

The paint colour has changed with new colour codes which your dealer would have been aware of. Did you dealer check your order to see which colour code your order has assigned?

Second with the delivery delays your order may exit the factory during July but it could take up to 2 weeks to get through, hence the August suggestion. To be honest it will boil down to how they worked out the suggested Handover date in the first place.

Use the search box and look for my delivery lead time thread for more info.

Had an update today confirming the dealer is expecting to take delivery of my DS3 at the start of next week. So it would appear the orders are on the "new" schedule following the initial parts delay. I'll be getting an update on when I can take delivery next week but expected to have it in 14 days or so. Depends how long they take to delivery it to me up in Scotland.

That's very good news mate. Yours is the same as the one we have on order. Long way off for us though. End of August I think although no confirmation of that yet.

My daughters car arrives tomorrow roughly 4 weeks delay from original order, she is now excited, no more buses from tomorrow.

What was the original lead time quoted?

Week 22, end of May delivery, has been delivered today so roughly 4 weeks out. Wouldn't have been so bad if she had not sold her car on May 20th anticipating a week or so before delivery. She is out in it, loves it and alls well that ends well so to speak.
