The software in the ECU contains all of the values that control the warning lights, by changing the values that can turn off the false positive warning lights

I was amazed just how smart the ECU actually is- it's adaptive and actually learns your specific engine and adjusts to how you drive...clever little thing

How long before ECU evidence is used in insurance claims or even prosecutions? Or has it already?

Try changing your cruise control speed when it's not engaged- you can't and I reckon any old sneeky copper would have a spy at it if they pulled you over. Always flick it off when you;re stopped in case they peer through the window lol

And the GTR in Japan has restrictors in place depending on GPS location- it literally won't let you over a certain speed if you're in a certain area. That'll be the next thing- not allowed over the speed limit according to satellite information given to the ECU governors
