Ahh - I see. So its not all new cars since Feb 11, but all new models since then. Makes sense. Thanks

I find it hard to believe that it would come without the cruise control as it is fitted to every model as standard.
Please re-read and you would notice I made a point that in the comparator it says Dsign models DO NOT come with cruise control

Great! thanks for the heads up

They are still not standard as I had to pay extra to have them put on, so not to sure about them being compulsory.

If you can't prove that the car was misdescribed, you have no right to reject (I'm assuming here that you didn't buy over the internet). Some retailers apply a 28-day no-quibble return as a matter of policy, but there's nothing in the SGA to that effect.

The contract that you signed will have terms and conditions - read them.

Also read this - it's an easier read than the SGA http://www.oft.gov.uk/shared_oft/738..._explained.pdf

If you decide you want to cancel the sale, the dealer will probably be entitled to retain your deposit - but you've got a much greater chance of persuading them to refund it the earlier you withdraw.

Whatever you do, don't let them register the car in your name and then say you don't want it.

How did you manage to spend £16k on a DSign anyway?!!
Great, thanks for the advice. DRL's, Ashera alloys, Emyway signature city pack + paint work adds up lol

Chose the Dsign because it was the only 1.2 model available, insurance is a killer for me with a 1.4

Apparently it's a killer for the DSign too though?

Paying £467pm at the moment with a 1.4 megane, with a Dsign its about £400pm so I can only imagine what it would cost with a 1.4 Dsport

£467 a month? For just your insurance?

If money is the key factor here, wouldn't it make more sense to downsize to a smaller engine, save the cash you save and then buy a bigger car when the insurance is a little less?

I was paying £75 a month with Co-op young drivers till I got 3 points for driving with a flat tire, next thing you know co-op cancelled my insurance claiming they can no longer
insure me so I moved to Swinton's blackbox who charge what I would consider extortionate rates.
