Csar suggested just moving the original rather than increasing the size of the IC
Or maybe ducting down from a vent to the IC, or from somewhere else
Apparently there is a fan on the IC which never works?

You will see it when you change your oil, from underneath its easy to spot. Its placed on the back of the IC so must suck rather than blow.

I have never seen a worse placement of intercooler than on the ds3.. The size is made after the car but because of this placement you will lose some horsepowers.. !
Especially because of the high inlet temperatures.. !

Getting cold air is some of the most important thing to a car so a bigger front mounted intercooler should get you some horsepowers..
If you can lower the inlet temperatures about 20 - 30 degrees celcius than you will have around 10 Horsepowers..

My inlet temperatures are around 2 or 3 celsius above the external temperature most of the time now, sometimes even exactly the same when put my foot down- certainly the vents help
In traffic, rises to almost 50deg celsius
Best place for an intercooler- is on the front of the car, but thats not goona do the visuals much good
Deffo needs more ambient air the OEM intercooler, at least to start with. Then think about cooling the air down even more.

I think personally that a front mounted intercooler looks way better on our cars than simply nothing as it is for now..

Yep i think that it looks good that you can see the intercooler behind the grill...
But there is different opinions on that subject apparently haha

                  EDIT:
I think you can buy the R5 bonnet here:

Yes- i agree behind the grill- but some motors have them outside the car, in front of the grill. thats what i was referring

Does the Forge one sit in front or behind the radiator? Cant remember Jamies

                                Pondering a central scoop too

Not sure about this, but there is an area under there to cut an intake vent with a scoop banged on top
Might stick a central scoop in, than Black plastidip the lot. Then again, might not

Doubt it would be this one, but you get the drift.
