just to let you know the remap was performed by FlashRemapping not ECU-RS although I do also work with them
FlashRemapping are a Viezu approved agent and the file for this car was writain by Jason at Viezu probably the best file writer in the business
I am so glad you are happy with the remap
I went to Wilmoth Citroen today and remapped their demo ds3 1.6 Thp yet to hear back how Adam is enjoying it

A word of warning to anyone looking to have this car remapped
I am the only remapper in the uk who can correctly remap this vehicle
Kess - the company who supply the remapping equipment have removed this protocol from their machine except to me as they know i use it for this vehicle as it is not stable on some other shared vehicles
If your remapper tells you he is using cmd this will not read a full ecu file and you can remap the file but you will end up with torque limiter problems - I have had this problem myself with a peugeot 207 gti
which shares the same engine - ecu using cmd

I m also looking for someone who would like a dyno run on this vehicle in conjunction with the remap - we expect it to show 40bhp gains after the remap but we are yet to see the dyno results of this. The dyno run would be at no extra charge.

dyno results

Gareth kindly brought his ds3 to our r@d station in Bromsgrove on sataday

after a whole lot more tinkering we managed some fantastic results

max bhp 187.1 and 226.7 lb/ft of torque
this is immediate after flashing the file and with the dyno room a swealtering 78.9 deg and 42% humidity it certainly wasnt the best conditions

given a few more miles for the car to loose its "cache" memory and a cooler day when the car can breath better im sure it swould show 192-195 bhp

gareth took the car for a hort test drive afterwards and initial responce was very posative

the ds3 tested on the rolling road simply had a k and n panel air filter

re remapping

depending on if your d sport is the 1.6 Thp or the 1.6 Hdi

the Thp is a remap of the ecu in which we copy the data on the ecu and adjust the paraments to give added bhp and torque

the hdi cannot be remapped conventionally due to communication difficulties and we would use a programmable tuning box which plugs into the common rail
this also has a adjuster built in so you can switch between economy and performance ~( please note this is not a cheap tuning box as found on ebay it acually contains 4 files like those found on the ecu)

cost wise the Thp is £299 and the tuning box is £275 fitted

a remap would take about 1 hour or so
to fit a tuning box takes about 20 minutes

Er i doubt Citroen would cover anything to do with the engine OR poss the transmision should it go wrong!
