Just a thought...but given that the 1.6 HDi cannot be remapped and is difficult to fit a tuning box to, I don't suppose that it's even worth enquiring if the 99g version can have anything done with it???!!
Different gearing and turbo (amongst other things) from the standard 92hp version.
Last question, which might sound a bit dumb, but when someone says the gearing is different, is this a softwarre thing, or something physically different in the gearbox?

The ultimate diesel tuning module in another post by Ianj, can fit a box of tricks which is equivellent to remapping. I had this device from tuning diesels on a jag x-type and was impressed. The two posts seem to contradict each other. At the moment I'm not aware of anyone having had a diesel done but it would seem plausible to do so given Ianj's post

A few questions, i've been speaking with Dave via pm, and have posted this from their blog page:-
1.6 Thp 150Bhp Ecu Remapping
1. remap only - 150bhp remapped to 182 bhp – £299
2. motorsport upgrade – 150 bhp motorsport remap and fitted with upgraded panel air filter - result 198.8 bhp 230 lb/ft torque - £499
1st: The THP puts out 115kw which is 155bhp, so does this mean you actually end up with 187bhp as opposed to 182bhp?
2nd: Apart from the K&N panel filter, is the motorsport remap any different to number 1. remap only, as the panel filter frees up up to 8bhp so would equate to 195bhp or thereabouts on the standard map, just wondering if it's a different map?
3rd: Can you have the motorsport remap on it's own without the filter if you already have one fitted? If so what is the cost?
Just needed clarification

The remap can be adapted to suit your requirements i.e fuel economy.
Airfilter is down to you if u want one fitted.Last edited by dave_beast; 25-03-2011, 14:54.
