I'm not sure I would notice 17bhp difference with a 200bhp engine, and it's not an independent view. However getting rid of that buildup is worth it irrespective of the power gain. I noticed my remap but that was a 30 % (roughly) boost. What I'm sure I will notice after Monday is the power delivery and general engine running. I might hunt down the owner of the Terraclean van near me and speak to them, see what they can offer on top of a walnut blast, it may be something I use as a preventative measure to hold the build up at bay.

A business opportunity maybe? Not just for Citroens. BMWs, Minis VW's all use blasting to clean the deposits off.

Terraclean is pretty crap, it will barely touch the valves on the way through the intake, if it does remove anything it will go straight into the cylinder with no where to go

I remember ppl trying seafoam, plooms of black smoke coming from the exhaust, i bet most of it was carbon deposits inside the exhaust and not from the valves

I take it you've experienced it first hand then?

Things do move on, and they seem fairly confident in their treatment, and they are specialists with plenty of supporters, so why not try it?
