the questions:
1st: The THP puts out 115kw which is 155bhp, so does this mean you actually end up with 187bhp as opposed to 182bhp?
2nd: Apart from the K&N panel filter, is the motorsport remap any different to number 1. remap only, as the panel filter frees up up to 8bhp so would equate to 195bhp or thereabouts on the standard map, just wondering if it's a different map?
3rd: Can you have the motorsport remap on it's own without the filter if you already have one fitted? If so what is the cost?
Just needed clarification
Just to clear up matters
there is no 155 bhp ds3 the standard 1.6 Thp is 150 bhp and pretty much all that have run stock on the dyno have been within 1 or 2 bhp of this figure
bhp is measured slightly differently in some areas and it is quoted at 156 on the continent
the standard upgrade is a remap only this has given 30-32 bhp in all cases when the car is running correctly
the panel air filter gives 4-5 bhp on most aplications admittedly 8 bhp gain on Clarkys when it was a little sick
the "motorsport" map comes with a panel air filter and gave 198.8 bhp ( so will be 200 odd once cache memory clears and a few miles under belt)
this is a different remap and yes if you so wish you can have this sans filter deducting the 50 odd quid the filter costs
yes it costs a bit more but considering a ds3 racing is £6500 more and this will give roughly same bhp and the motorsport map gives 25-30 lb/ft more torque it is good value considering the research and development that has gone into the preparation
and the fact that as with all our remaps it comes with "underwritten insurance"
and Zack sorry but you remember incorrectly as far as I am aware Glynns car has standard plugs - they were certainly not changed by me or anyone at Viezu
In fact in my experience non OE plugs in a vehicle give more problems than ever give good results - its OE plugs for me every time
Of course FlashRemapping gives a 10% discount to club members and we are looking at further modifications i.e. exhausts and a correct cold air intake to offer
Hope that clears matters up
Dave

Ahh ok, thanks for clearing that up.
Now you've just got to tell Viezu

Citroen DS3 Tuning
Viezu has now released the final version of the Citroen DS3 tuning file; this has been developed after significant research and vehicle testing in combination with Viezu dealer flashremapping.co.uk
The new Citroen DS3 ecu tuning lifts the already sporty 156bhp DS3, to a rather impressive 192bhp.Last edited by dave_beast; 26-03-2011, 04:05.
