You thinkin of getting one then Madman? Don't know of the benefits to a diesel, but as a Diesel has a turbo and an intercooler, am I right in assuming there would be a good performance gain?

Good luck with final exam :-)
Thanks, I need to get the car looked at under warranty first (intermittent total loss of power) followed by it's second service. Then after which i plan on having the Disco remapped at JE Engineering in Cov, might stop in at sptuning for the DS3 at the same time :-D I have alot of interest in the upgraded intercooler; I know they make a difference on the 2.7L turbo diesel on the disco, but on the 1.6 Hdi DS3 i'm not sure if it will any noticeable effect... I have a busy time ahead in my final year at uni so it might not get done until April :-(
I know the lads at JE, they come and use my dyno from time to time. They do good work, pricey though.
I've done a lot of these Disco 4 myself, mainly 3.0tdv6's.
Please pop in, always got time for fellow DS3er's
Will be knocking on your door in 18months time, for this intercooler I reckon. Unless something as good and less expensive hits the scene.
If you get a used one let me know.............
Theres always an alternative to get water injection installed using a stock cooler. comparing the temperatures from my Forge intercooler installed with an installed water injection kit i recall having more degrees than him, though the guy was using a stock cooler... oh... and he had stage 2+... i got stage 3, but they don't differ much... i had my bumper off and back on for about one and a half our... was doing it on the road. my hose sliped off the intercooler, had to get it back on... having a 1.6 engine without turbo is very lame)))
Have looked at WMI. Quite expensive and a lot more complicated- but better for the engine (No carbonisation on inlet valves)
Not even close to how expensive Forge IC is. Installation, few wires, and few holes to drill (depending on if you use additional tank or windscreen cleaner tank).

WMI kit for DS3 is over £600, then its not that easy to install, as far as i can see.
More to go wrong too. Jet sizes, ongoing maintainence
Forge intercooler- u can get cheaper than the advertised price, by a fair bit. And its simple- a radiator for the air..and some pipes
and there are alternative intercoolers...:-)
