Dual pass means the air coming out duct , is passing over the incoming air duct, which has the already warm air in it
Therefore the exit of the cooler air, would be warmed u a bit again
Mind you, with single pass, the exit (Silicone/rubber) pipe has to make its way back to the beginning agagin, warming in the engine bay
You pays yer money, takes yer choicesigpicJog on Noddy

No single pass can have inlet and outlet on same sides too.generally dual pass has a better cooling for air temps on most cars as it passes through the cores twice. Thats why its called dual pass, i believe allowing further air cooling. dual pass are more money than single pass usuallyLast edited by BigRicky; 07-04-2014, 12:38.Using Tapatalk

Tradeoffs, always tradeoffs, I agree with you especially with the stock or racing turbo in place. Would not be as bad if changing the turbo also.Originally posted by cyclone
It is in the handbook. Satisfied.

The Forge one is well worth it, uses absolutely every single bit of free space behind the bumper without any chopping of the cars structural members, and is only 2.5hr job start to finish.
With it fitted IAT has dropped massively.
I can help out with a generous discount off retail prices if anyone is considering it...just PM meWhite on red THP

Also there is meanwhile another possibility to get a nice dual pass intercooler: HG-Motorsport from Luebeck/Germany! They are lookalikes to the Forge one but "made in Germany"!
Mine was the prototype and the basic swap for my further mods!
The guys in the workshop are really good! They do the welding and the installation in a really good manner! Dyno run before and after install and they take the wishes and ideas of the customer into their design!
I've made 3 prototype mods there (intercooler, downpipe 200cell cat, 2,5"exhaust) and I always drove home satisfied! Maybe you should check them out, when you consider to make the intercooler mod!
