One of my biggest concerns is the fact my car was an ex Avis rental car, before the previous owner, something I wasn't informed of and although I don't have to be told such a thing, I fear it's maybe hard start to life and could be the cause of the issue. Just a thought...

Make Citroen aware that, how can a mechanical fault which is present and has been audiably and visually recorded, be diagnosed by means of a computer fault code reader plugged into the vehicles OBD access port, which only detects electrical sensor parameters !!
That's like a wheel falling off, it's a mechanical fault, but will not flag up a fault code stored within the ECU, and in that case a verdict of, no fault found sir, will come back from the diagnostic check, and Citroen will burry their head in the sand, saying that according to the computer, there is nothing wrong with the car, yet a wheel quite clearly will have become detached from the car, having a computer diagnostic check, is the manufacturers get out clause for many actual mechanical developing faults, they literally wait till a mechanical component fails, this buys the manufacturer time, pushing beyond the warranty time/mileage frame.Performance Powered By Thought

Car was in today at 9am...4pm today a phone call to say they cant find ANYTHING wrong with the car, even though this morning i showed them a video of my car coasting making the ticking noise and also the video in this post from another member doing the same thing!! I knew this would happen, with 4 days warranty remaining, i have no choice but to collect my car once again as there are no courtesy cars available and i need it for going to work tonight!!!Obsidian Black/Carmen Red

Sorry to hear that dan!
I've had my car in today and the mechanic is certain its a gearbox issue. The garage are contacting citroen technical and are forwarding my video to them too.
The mechanic produced an Info Rapide but unfortunately in French but it did mention noises emanating from the gearbox. So I'll await their feedback and take it from there.
They will cover the gearbox replacement if need be...Last edited by DT757; 18-10-2014, 17:43.
