As big feet said, it depends on how you're using the car, but I tend to get just below or just above 50mpg from my 110 e-hdi and I have the
climate control on all of the time, I always have the stereo on, I almost never carry passengers, don't carry a lot in the boot. I weigh about 15 stone at the moment.

After 1800 miles I am just getting to the point where I don't worry about it too much. I think it takes away from the enjoyment of the car if you're always glancing down at the mpg.

Always an emotive subject. I work my whatsits off to make a few bucks, I save my money hard, so my car is one of my fun hobbies - so I don't tend to give a hoot on the mpg, I nearly spent more than twice the amount on the other car I considered, so Thank You Citroen for this little sweetie at a nice down to earth price... might try the diesel some time for a bit of fun, and an excuse to change!

I do appreciate though that something does sound a bit out with the diesel mentioned in the post.

      Regards,
      Clive.

I drive the THP 155 and get anywhere between 360 to 460 miles from a tank, depending on how 'spirited' I feel like driving.

I went down to Devon the other weekend and managed to get an average 40.8mpg (according to the computer) for the journey.

This was driving between 30-70 mph on cruise control for the majority of the trip. Overall pretty happy.

To be honest, I agree with what many have said, it's an awesome car, great fun to drive and if you're looking at the mpg, you're not having enough fun with your car. Go and find some great roads and enjoy yourself

I get great fuel economy out my remapped THP155. I can now pootle round town doing 30 in 5th or 6th gear. Only problem is me on motorways, far too tempting to get lead foot syndrome which I suffer from quite horrendously.

I am getting 24.9 MPG onto the way to work! It's a 4.5 mile trip and most of it is in traffic and the trip computer says im averaging 11mph. Does my new THP really suck that bad in traffic? I am driving it like a granny and not revving past 2-2.5K.

Dyu, that mpg does not surprise me given the short trip and the low speed - I get such a massive difference if I just potter about at the weekend - about 38 in the week ona 15 miles each way trip (real, the computer 'pretends' it's 42, to make the person who doesn't cross check it feel better!), at the weekend it's more like 30...unless I go for a bit longer spin (which I will be a little later on this evening as gave the car a quick detail this afternoon, so it needs driving!)...

                  Regards,
                  Clive.

Thanks Clive. I've got a 70 round trip next weekend so I'll probably get better mpg.

No probs, assuming you do 'mixed' driving and/or you're forced to 'behave' because of traffic conditions (e.g. 50-70 mph in 6th gear), in my experience you could get up into the high forties.......

                        Regards,

Mines been similar this last 2 weeks, only been doing 2 or 3 mile trips and the computer is showing 200 miles from a full tank when usually its 350-400.

Going away next weekend so it should improve on the 200 mile motorway trip.

That doesn't surprise me to be honest, over 4 miles the engine wouldn't have warmed up to full running temperature.

Drove my DS3 THP150 from Sydney up to Bathurst for the Bathurst 1000 50th year race and managed 5.6L/100km for the trip. That's over 50mpg! of course on a race weekend the police presence meant it was very steady going at below the speed limit. Still that included 4km or bumper to bumper driving around the car park to get out after the race.
