Didn't know that- will google FK then
Like saying all tires are the same or all recirculation valves are the same. They all do the same thing. It is how those individual products are realized that differentiates them.

In my naievety, I thought twirly steel, was twirly steel.
However, also a believer of you get what you pay for
So its not the cheapest springs I can get my hands on then. Noted.

Never been in a car that was lowered with FK that that had a very refined ride. Not terrible but not as good as it could be. Do not think they put as much time into development as they should.

I didn't think you rated the FK springs either ? Or is the problem pairing them with the standard shocks ?

Would that be the standard shocks that FK says will work fine with there 40mm lowering springs and recommend sport shocks when lowering more than 40mm?

spot on there, i rate the springs highly, i bet paired with an aftermarket shorter shock they would be brilliant!

cyclone, i just dont see how your bashing FK when all you have is that you have rode shotgun in a pals car a few times who has them lol. just because a pair of FK coilovers are £250 not £1000 and dont say eibach or koni on the side doesnt make them cheap either... its kind of my opinion but it is also experience of doing so many miles with the FK's on, using my car day in day out with them on rather than just saying, my friend has them on his car, they dont feel right from the passenger seat lol. also FK are a german based company who supply coilovers/springs worldwide, develop and manufacture their own products on their own CNC machines, not some chinese workshop using cheap materials. so yes part opinion but also experience & company knowledge.

Would hardly say I am bashing them as already said they are one of the better cheeper alternatives. Nowhere have I recommended Eibach or Koni(mainly a shock manufacturer not springs, there FSD tech is great you should try it), I stand by that FK's are not developed to there full potential and that is how they are able to undercut other spring manufactures. German manufacture does not guarantee a top quality product I know I live there.

Only 3 sets coilovers fit the Dsport THP (AFAIK)
                              KW, BC and Spax

And not even absolutely certain that BC fit yet. Was offered a set sale or return for £800 to find out and let them know. LOL

lets just move on from FK lol. I am sure it wont be long before a more affordable set of coilovers are available for your ds3's, i dont know why they are so pricey tbh, could be because your cars have only been in production a few years...
