This is what I got:
Connects 2 CTSCT003 - Citroen C2, C3, C4, C5 MKII, C8 Stalk Control

I don't have factory hifi, satnav or reversing sensors but I've just looked at the wiring diagram for this adapter and it shows wires to reverse and sensors.

£34.99 plus a fiver for the alpine lead and 8 quid for the amplified fakra convertor.

CTSCT003 is only to retain the stalk controls. If you want to continue using both reverse sensors and stalk controls purchase item CTHCT01.

When I fit it the stalk works for the setting but doesn't control the sound an stuff

My Aftermarket head unit works fine with all stalk controls Rick....Might be wrong adaptor ??.

No, mine works fine - the button on the end of the RH stalk cycles through radio, usb etc. The volume works as before. The upper and lower stalk buttons change tracks on CD, usb etc and the "wheel" will change folders on usb.

Remove the head unit again Rick and check connections you may have pulled them apart without realising as i know it's a bit of a squeeze lol.

this is the guide to my stereo... im guessing the 'emote in' is where i put the patch lead? as thats the only socket on the back.. and it offers no details on what its actually for

Yeh thats the one Rick...Can be used to tun on amplifier aswell
