        • Time has passed and it's time for some updates.

          Plan:
-uprated injectors (Open Insignia GT 2.0 Turbo)
          -updated Walbro pump
-an appointment with my mechanic Jykke

Aim is to modify rail (drill fuel passage larger) and install uprated injectors + fuel tank pump. Then I can continue my experiments with E85 software and hopefully manage to do a full conversion.
          So far I am stable with 80% E85 / 20% 95E.

I can see issues here, has the HDEV 5.1 fuel injector from the Opel Insignia 2.0 turbo got the same spray angle and what are the working delivery pressures and delivery cc's when compared to the HDEV 5.1 already fitted ?

If you drill the bore of the high pressure Stainless Steel fuel rail, the delivery pressure from the HPFP will drop off, causing insufficient operating pressure for the fuel injector, furthermore, drilling triangulates and will not leave a smooth finished bore !!

I like the word successful, however, I pose the questions again, they need answering to ensure complete succesful longevity for you and anyone else wishing to try what you are proposing to do, spray pattern, angle, pressure and delivery cc's are crucial to piston survival.

It's always exciting when you do a tune, we won't know until we try. Remapping can do magic.

                      • You thinkin upgrading your Turbo, Rag?
If so what too- JCW? And would that involve a new manifold do you know?

And for someone who thinks Citroen treated you bad- you are sure spending some money on their DS3 Racing :-)
                        Good luck to you

Upgrading turbo is something I have looked into, but it is very complicated and time consuming, both hardware- and softwarewise. You never know

Well, after I fixed all the flaws shitroen had left there, the car is just fine mine has very little to do with the original anymore

                          • If I go the whole hog and upgrade pistons (Only £500 to buy forged new pistons now) then that will be so I can put a bigger Turbo in
Will have a chat with Jamie over next few days

Tuning software appropriately for it is challenging, and I want it to be done right. Also, you realize the trade off. Bigger turbo means more lag and less low range output. What I love about mine now, is that it wakes up around 2-2.5k
